Patient Participation Group

What’s a Patient Participation Group?

  • P.P.G’s were developed as a way to extend patient involvement.
  • To encourage patients to engage with the NHS and their own healthcare.
  • To provide practical support for the surgery ie. patient surveys, fundraising.
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement and quality of their GP healthcare services.
  • A link to the community.

Our PPG holds a meeting once a month at the surgery, where we can keep you up to date with what’s happening and take comments and suggestions from members to help identify areas with scope for improvement.  It is not a forum for individual complaints.

If you would like to join the Plains View Surgery PPG, please ask to speak to the Practice Administrator.  Alternatively, you can complete the online sign up form and become a member of our ‘Virtual Patient Representation Group’. Please also note that the minutes from the last PPG meeting are available from the practice upon request.

Download Patient Participation Group sign-up form below – please hand the completed form into the Reception desk on your next visit to Plains View Surgery.

Age UK

Great news!! The fantastic work of our PPG running the monthly Age UK desk has been recognised in the Age UK ‘Campaign to End Loneliness’ progress report.  We have also received public feedback thanking them for all they have done.  The help desk is a free information service open to the public and is held every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the surgery.   For more information, please see the noticeboard in the practice entrance.
